I {heart} MDS!

I have another MDS layout to share today. This layout uses the now retired Sweet Pea DSP, one of my favorites. I used a sketch from Scrapbooks, etc for this layout. MDS makes using sketches so easy! The font for this layout was absolutely FREE!! It is one of the many fantastic fonts available for download from Kevin {&} Amanda. Thanks for checking in!

My First Award!

Thank you Chas and Kelly for my first ever blog award!

The Liebster Blog Award is given to bring new blogs to light. It's a great way to share blogs that might not otherwise be seen or ones you want to share with others.

As a recipient of this award I must share the love and pay it forward by:

1-Creating a post where I blog about the Liebster award & reveal my 3-5 blog picks
2-Let the honorees know that I selected them
3-Copy & paste the blog award on my blog

Now I have the huge task of narrowing down my favorite blogs that I love to visit and gain inspiration from so I can share them with you.

New blogs that you must visit belong to some of my Crafty Sistahs...

Challenge Time!

Have you ever used Woodland Walk DSP? I hadn't either until this month's downline challenge. We were asked to do a 12x12 layout or 3 cards using this DSP, Blueberry Crisp or Lap of Luxury. I chose to do a 12x12 MDS layout. The more I use MDS, the more I love it! The pictures are from last harvest. My husband is a farmer and harvest is our favorite time of the year! The kiddos and I usually join him for at least one evening of fun in the fields. Thanks for checking in!

Hello Blog Land!

Yeah!! I took the plunge and created my very own crafty blog! I am so excited to share some of my craftiness (is that even a word??) with you, along with family tidbits and happenings. I love to craft, but it seems there is never enough time in the day. I stay so busy with my little family, the most important part of my everyday. Now on to today's post!

I created this card a couple months ago at Crop for the Cure. (Sorry for the poor picture quality, I am still learning!) It is a complete CASE of a card in the current Stampin' Up catty. I used Chocolate Chip cardstock for the card base and rounded out the layers with Pretty in Pink and Very Vanilla cardstock. I added some color using the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack and stamped the sentiment in Chocolate Chip ink. Then I scrunched up some retired Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon to pretty things up! Hope you liked my first card!
